Fergus was 3 years old when he met Molly. Life was never going to be the same for either of them. 8 years later and I can see there is a beautiful bond between Molly and her white steed.
This is the first time I’ve met Fergus. He is sleepy and his bottom lip quivers as he eyes up the grass a few metres away while Molly puts his bridle on. He lets me stroke him and I get all excited and gooey. I absolutely adore animals! So getting to do a little photo shoot with a horse is rather fab!
We planned the shoot for golden hour near Molly’s home in Derbyshire and the weather decided to be glorious! The sun hung low in the sky and the smell of Summer floated on the breeze. We walked up to the fields, past the sheep and lambs, who raced to great us noisily at the fence. And what a marvelous evening it was! Golden light streamed across the field, outlining Fergus’ form and giving his coat a subtle warmth and glimmer.
It was a perfect evening and it was so wonderful to be outside with the animals!
