Sheffield food, music and beer

Good food, live music and fabulous friends…what more could a girl ask for? I’ve lived in Sheffield over 15 years and yet it’s so easy to get into a routine of life and miss out on so much that this city has to offer. So when my boyfriend suggested we go to the Peddler Night Market a couple of weeks ago I got a little bit giddy!

Earlier that week I’d been researching alternative and indie wedding venues in the city and had come across 92 Burton Road (where Peddler Night Market takes place). I was super keen to see it for myself. I love the vibe you get with having a wedding reception in an old warehouse. It carries so much history and the contrast between the hard steel and brickwork of the building with the soft flowers and lighting of a wedding just thrills me to bits!

So we rocked up late afternoon and realised just how popular this event is. However, queuing up to go inside brought it’s own joys as I bumped into a few people I knew…that’s when you know you’ve lived in a city a decent amount of time isn’t it!

The atmosphere inside was great! It was bustling but not overcrowded thanks to careful planning and there was so much going on. We got to listen to one of my favourite local artists, LIO perform, eat yummy burgers and play arcade games (I remember being better at pin ball than I was on this occasion). The miniature putting green outside the delightful Gravel Pit shop was a huge hit with our little group too. Oh my, just writing about it makes me want to do it all again.

Here are a few photos from the evening. The next event takes place on 2nd and 3rd of June. I might see you there! πŸ™‚

I totally loved these lights (if you hadn’t guessed already).

This is me realising I’m rubbish at putting but loving it anyway. Thanks to Tom (the bf) for getting a few crazy pics of me πŸ˜€
