Today is the fifth anniversary of Ben and Cat Frampton coming to Mkushi, Zambia! Woo hoo! And so of course there had to be cake. But even better than cake, was the opportunity for all of us to gather for a special lunch. Now most days I have nshima, which is a dish made of maize flour and water, and a couple of other dishes like spinach, eggs, chicken or cabbage. But I have to admit that today’s nshima was amazing! It was made from the maize grown just over the road by the interns and was mixed with curry powder. We then had it with chicken, cabbage and a delicious broth…I’m still full 2 hours later! đŸ™‚
What I really enjoyed about today was getting to spend time with all the interns. Most of the time we are all working on our different tasks so to sit back, eat and laugh together is a very special thing. And everyone loves to smile! So here are a few photos from our lunch together.
After lunch we went to the newly built training centre where we heard about the last 5 years, saw many wonderful photos and heard about the plans for the future.
This is Zach telling us where the dining hall is! Too cute!
And lastly here is a great group shot of everyone in Ben and Cat’s back garden.
